MARGARET M. MARTIN

Margaret Helen McKeel Martin, 81, Goldsboro, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Margaret was born in Johnston County July 24, 1935, to the late Fred McKeel and Susan Royals McKeel.
She was married for 42 years to the love of her life, Milton Henderson Martin, who preceded her in death in 1992.
Margaret had been an employee of Textilease for more than 35 years, and was a member of Falling Creek Baptist Church.
Margaret will be remembered as an excellent teacher, blessing her family with the skills and know-how of canning, quilting, sewing and the ability to tend and cultivate a beautiful garden.
She was a loving and caring mother, who held her family dear to her heart, and considered them her greatest blessing.
The family will receive friends, Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a service celebrating Margaret's life at 2 p.m. in chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with pastor Jeff Dail officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Margaret is survived by her daughters, Margaret Dale Sasser and husband, Guy, of Goldsboro, Sallie Coker of Dudley, Kinda Carver and husband, James, of Red Springs, Annie Rose and husband, James, of Bunnlevel and Susan Martin of Goldsboro; sons, Jerry Martin and wife, Jennifer, of Grantham and Ray Martin and wife, Shelly, of Georgia; and sisters, Virginia Person of Rosewood and JoAnn Corbett of Goldsboro.
She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, whom she loved very much, and her cat, Little Girl.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Glenn Junior Martin; grandson, Linwood Gregory; sister, Callie Pipkin; brothers, Willie McKeel and Fred McKeel Jr.; and son-in-law, Leon Nelson Coker.
