Dennis Moore, 63, died Saturday at Wayne UNC Health Care.
Funeral will be Sunday at 6 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory. Graveside service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
He was born Dec. 3, 1952, in New York to Willie Mae Moore of New York and the late Ellis Moore.
He is survived by his wife, Michele Moore, and seven children.
Visitation will be 5 to 5:45 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
