REBA WIGGINS MITCHELL

Reba Wiggins Mitchell, 79, Goldsboro, passed away early Tuesday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
Reba was born in Wayne County Nov. 9, 1937, to the late Ben Richard Wiggins and Bessie Overman Wiggins. She was married to the late Jimmy Leroy Mitchell.
Reba began her career as an employee of the Wayne County Register of Deeds, and later went to work and retired as a driver's license examiner for the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
She had also helped her husband for many years with the family business, Mitchell's Wrecker Service.
Reba was a member of Spring Hill Free Will Baptist Church, and was attending Victory Free Will Baptist Church.
Reba brought joy, laughter and love to everyone she met.
She was the rock of her family; her husband and daughter knew that she loved them with all her heart and truly was a blessing to them. We were lucky to have her in our lives, and the world will be a sadder place without her.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service celebrating Reba's life will be held at 2 p.m. in the chapel. Interment will conclude the service in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Reba is survived by her daughter, Michelle M. West and husband, Chip, of Princeton; her granddaughter and apple of her eye, Hannah West; and brother-in-law, Charles Mitchell.
She is also survived by several nieces and nephews she loved very much.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Aycock, Rose Chamlee, Nancy Hill, Marilyn Wiggins, Evelyn Lamm, Swanell McLawhorn and Fanettie Whichard.
