LILA RUTH HOWELL HOLLOMAN

Lila Ruth Howell Holloman, 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday evening, Oct. 21, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Homegoing service will be held Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, at 3 p.m. at First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Goldsboro. Burial will follow at Holloman Family Cemetery in Selma.
The family will greet friends prior to the service from 2 to 2:45 at the church.
Mrs. Holloman was born in Wayne County Oct. 4, 1934, to the late Edgar and Rosa Chase Howell.
She was the former owner and operator of Second Fling.
Mrs. Holloman was a faithful member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a past Sunday school teacher and faithful member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and started the singles group ministry.
She is survived by a son, Gary Wade Holloman of Goldsboro; daughter, Lynn Holloman (Alan Benton) of Goldsboro; two brothers, Max Howell and wife, Hazel, and Randy Howell and wife, Deborah, of Goldsboro; two sisters, Dorothy Strickland and husband, Merrill, and Brenda Wall and husband, Jimmy, of Goldsboro; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Mrs. Holloman was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Wade Holloman; son, Darryl Alan Holloman; and two brothers, Bob Howell and Marvin Howell.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
