Juanita E. Torres, 61, passed away Oct. 14, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro, N.C.
She was born Jan. 1, 1955, in Raymondville, Texas, to the late Gabriel and Aubelia Perez.
Juanita shared a true love story for more than 47 years with Israel Torres.
She loved fishing and being in the outdoors. In addition, she enjoyed watching Spanish novellas and spending time with her cat, Ninà.
Over the years, Juanita had touched many lives and leaves behind several broken hearts. We hope that everyone who knew and loved her can join us in remembering her and celebrating her life.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her five children, Israel Torres Jr. and his wife, Tina, of Palm Springs, Cristina Cerna of Las Vegas, Gabriel Torres of New Jersey, Julia Calderon of Lake Worth and Stacey Gutierrez of Washington; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Dorsey-E. Earl Smith Funeral Home at 3041 Kirk Road, Lake Worth, Fla., 33461, Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at 8 p.m.
A viewing will be held from 5 p.m. until the time of service at Dorsey-Earl Smith Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Ave., West Palm Beach, Fla., 33407.
