Nellie Hester Langston, 79, Fremont, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family.
Nellie was born in Davie County, N.C., Aug. 12, 1937, to the late J. C. Hester and Maggie Holder Hester. She was married to the late Clinton Langston.
Nellie was a homemaker, and loved her family.
She was a member of Pentecostal Christian Assemblies.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2 p.m. in the chapel. The Rev. Sherwood Howell will officiate. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Nellie is survived by her daughter, Subrina L. Church and husband, Garrett, of Fremont; son, Tim Langston and wife, Wanda of Fremont; and sisters, Collen Binkley of Mocksville and Mae Smith of Smithfield.
She is also survived by two grandchildren, Rebecca Church and Maggie Cockrell and husband, Kevin.
In addition to her husband, Nellie was preceded in death by her sister, Mattie Reynolds, and her aunt, Helen Whitlock Hester.
