WILLIAM HOWARD "BILLY" MERRITT

William Howard "Billy" Merritt, 66, East Second Street, Princeton, was called Home Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A celebration of his life will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 30, at Princeton United Methodist Church.
The family will receive family and friends following the service.
Billy was born Jan. 23, 1950, in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Johnson Merritt, and his father, William Ernest Merritt.
He was a member of Princeton United Methodist Church.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Barbara of the home; his son, Ruel of Garner;, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
