Woodrow was a devoted and loving father to his children and even more so to his grandchildren. His strength, honor, compassion and values will be dearly missed.

He was a graduate of New Hope High School, and then furthered his education with a bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University.

He joined the United States Air Force, and served his country with honor and dedication until his retirement, and then resided permanently in his hometown of Goldsboro, N.C.

He loved gardening, carpentry and traveling abroad.

His compassion for the community was evident through his membership and service with the Ruritan Club and his work with Meals on Wheels.

He always spoke fondly of his service, but especially when his soulmate, Sheri Anderson, was with him.

Woodrow is survived by his children and spouses, Woodrow Antonia Anderson II, Lee Ann Lewis and Jeffrey Brian Lewis, George Marshall Anderson and Lori Anderson, David Brian Anderson and Amber Michelle Anderson, Daniel Troy Anderson and Amber Leigh Anderson and Douglas Christopher Anderson; stepchildren, Lisa Campbell and Scott Spencer; siblings and spouses, Rose Anderson Goodyear and Bobby Goodyear and Frank Anderson and Mary Anderson; and grandchildren, Wilson Robert Lewis, George Marshall Anderson II, Lilly Faye Lewis and Emily Rae Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Melba Gardner Anderson, and his father, Woodrow Wilson Anderson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given in his memory to New Hope Ruritan Club, 182 Quail Drive, Dudley, N.C., 28333.
