EDNA H. CANDLER

Edna Hare Candler, 89, went to be with her Lord Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family and friends.
Edna was born in Wayne County, N.C., Aug. 29, 1926, to the late Jethro Hare and Mary Roberts Hare.
Edna and her late husband, Orville Benny Candler, were devoted members of Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, and Edna enjoyed singing in the choir.
Edna and Orville were passionate about fishing.
Edna was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Edna will be greatly missed by her family.
A service to celebrate Edna's life will be Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Barry Teague officiating.
The family will receive friends following the service and at other times, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bardo Candler, 149 Candler Drive, Goldsboro, N.C.
Private family burial will be Friday in Wayne Memorial Park.
Edna is survived by her daughters, Christa Hayes and husband, David, of Goldsboro and Marcia Wheless and husband, Terry, of Durham; sons, Bardo Candler and wife, Phyllis, of Goldsboro, Marco Candler and wife, Laura, of Fayetteville and Angelo Candler and wife, Sharon, of Benson; and a sister-in-law, Joyce Hare of Goldsboro.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kresant Kelly and husband, Bryan, Shane Hayes and wife, Reese, Tiffaney Wheless, Stacy Candler and wife, Lisa, Wendy Candler, Amy Candler, Matthew Candler and wife, Sarah, Kayla Candler and Hannah Candler; her great-grandchildren, Aidan, Noah, Leila, Mia and Olivia; and two special lifetime friends, Adell and Ethel.
Although flowers are welcome, the family requests memorials be made to Woods Grove Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, 4009 Central Heights Road, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
