Stephen “Shorty” Edgar Ferrell, 80, Fremont, passed away Thursday evening, May 19, 2016, at his home surrounded by his family.
A graveside service will be held Monday, May 23, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Stantonsburg Cemetery.
Mr. Ferrell was born in Johnston County Aug. 19, 1935, to the late Daniel and Lucy Langley Ferrell.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Goff Ferrell; one brother, Robert “Bob” Ferrell and wife, Serether, of Lucama; and three sisters, Gilda Wade of Durham, Roberta Ferrell of Fremont and Josephine Davis of Wilson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 22, 2016, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory, 1500 Wayne Memorial Drive in Goldsboro.
