FANETTIE IRENE WHICHARD
March 24, 1931-March 25, 2016
Fanettie Irene Whichard, 85, died Friday evening at Columbus County Hospital in Whiteville, N.C.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Richard B. and Bessie O. Wiggins, and was the wife of Goodman Darden Whichard of Pikeville.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
In addition to her husband, Fanettie is survived by two sons, Richard Gerald Whichard of Pikeville and Gary Ray Whichard and his wife, Tina, of Pikeville; two daughters, Gena W. Radford and her husband, Ronnie, of Whiteville and Georgette Lee Evans of Richmond, Va.; a sister Reba Mitchell of Goldsboro; and seven grandchildren.
Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. of Goldsboro is serving the Whichard family.
