Ella Dawn Hargrove Powell, 42, passed away unexpectedly early Thursday morning, Feb. 11, 2016, at her home in the Scott's Store community near Mount Olive.
Her life will be celebrated and remembered in a service to be today (Sunday, Feb. 14) at 2 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jeff Dail officiating. Burial will follow in Clayton Pate Family Cemetery.
Visitation was held Saturday evening at the funeral home.

Dawn was employed with Structural Concrete and Millworks Inc. (SCM) in which she was a partner with her father.
Preceded in death by her mother, Lynette Pate, and her brother, Mitchell Shawn Hargrove, Dawn is survived by her husband, Willie Powell Jr.; three daughters, Raven Brooke Powell, Harley Shawn Powell and Rilley Lynette Powell; a son, Mitchell Slade Powell all of the home; her father and stepmother, Darry and Shelby Hargrove of Mount Olive; her parents-in-law, Willie and Carolyn Smith Powell of Faison; three special nephews, Tyler Hargrove, Cody Worrells and Eli Lynch; a special niece, Taylor Worrells; two sisters, Marlana Olmos and Terrie Gail Best both of Butner; a sister-in-law, Tammy Powell Hairr and husband, Edward, of Faison; four stepbrothers, Jeremy Bond and wife, Sandra, of Rosewood, Joshua Bond and wife, Ashley, of Spivey's Corner, Jonathan Bond and wife, Jessi, of Mount Olive and Jaime Bond and wife, Samantha, of Pink Hill; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
