H.B. Grady, 74, 3046 Arrington Bridge Road, Dudley, transitioned from this life Sunday in Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
He was born April 12, 1941, in Lenoir County to Oscar and Annie Maye Grady.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mount Gilead Baptist Church. He will be entombed in Wayne Memorial Park.
His memory is cherished by his loving wife, Angeline Oliver Grady of the home; his daughter, Inonda (Danny) Grady King of Dudley; his siblings, Annie L. Parrott, Dorothy (Earnest) Kelly of Dudley, Clara Markham of Washington, D.C., and Stephen (Geraldine) Grady of Dudley; a brother in word and deed, Thomas (Ella) Maye of Kinston; sisters-in-law, Clara B. Grady of Dudley, Sue Grady of Elizabeth, N.J., and Annie McCoy of Warsaw; brother-in-law, Ronald (Katie) McCoy of Dudley; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation Friday from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 7 p.m. to receive friends, at Haskins Funeral Home. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence.
The family will assemble at his daughter’s residence, 2965 Arrington Bridge Road, in preparation for the funeral procession. www.haskinsfh.com.
