Keith Byron Reed, 73, Goldsboro, was received by his Lord and savior Oct. 29, 2015.
Born Dec. 28, 1941, Keith was the son of the late Clyde Myron Reed and Florence Mildred Lake Reed of Union City, Mich.
A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at 6 p.m. at New Hope United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Steve Wellman officiating.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service.
Keith is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet Hobday Reed; daughters, Charlotte Glaeser and husband, Torsten, of Norfolk, Va., and Andrea Jacobs and husband, Todd, of Hickory, N.C.; their children, Reed and Rachel; and son, William Reed, of Nashville, Tenn.
Keith is also survived by three siblings, sisters, Doris Kyhnell and husband, Jack, of Anderson, Ind., and Phyliss Lewis of Sparks, Nev., and brother, Kenneth Reed of Rock Springs, Wyo.
Keith received his Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of Michigan.
He was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church, where he taught the James Carlisle Sunday school class.
He retired from APV-Baker in Goldsboro.
The family thanks 3HC for providing care for Keith in his final days.
