RALPH T. PASSMORE
Nov. 10, 1939-Oct. 25, 2015
Ralph Talbot Passmore, 75, Goldsboro, peacefully passed away to be with his Lord and savior Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015, at his home while surrounded by family.
He fought his courageous battle with cardiac and pulmonary disease for years, and was a miracle many times over.
Ralph was born Nov. 10, 1939, in Dyess, Ark., to the late Noah Passmore and Vivian Shelden Passmore.
He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force, retiring as a master sergeant with 20 years of service.
Ralph bravely served three tours in Vietnam. While serving in Vietnam, Ralph was part of a select guerrilla commando unit, and also did undercover work. He later served with a medevac team transporting wounded military personnel to Dover Air Force Base.
Ralph was a member of Beston United Methodist Church.
A lover of the outdoors, Ralph found much pleasure when he could be out hunting and fishing. He loved working in his garden, and had the biggest tomatoes around.
A service to celebrate and honor Ralph's life will be held Friday, Oct. 30, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Beston United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Sherman Guthrie officiating. Committal with full military honors will follow.
Ralph is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ginnie Godfrey Passmore; two daughters, Julie Mullan and husband, Mike, and Amy Passmore and husband, Bryan Swinson; brother, Ray Passmore and wife, Joyce; sister, Rose Mary Hardee and husband, Gary; and a granddaughter, Emily Marie Mullan.
Ralph's family will receive friends Friday following the service.
