Daisy Pearl Ford, 84, 105 S. Slocumb St., entered into eternal rest Monday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was born April 8, 1931, Wayne County to John Lewis and Estella Wooten Lewis.
Her life and memory will be celebrated Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at Greater Guiding Star United Holy Church, with the Rev. Devin Pickett officiating. Her mortal frame will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery.
Beautiful memories are treasured by her children, Barbara (Ronnie) Smith of Goldsboro, N.C., Shirley F. Edwards of Hopewell, Va., Linda F. Crinchlow of Fayetteville, N.C., Devon (Edwenda) Ford of St. Louis, Mo., Christine F. Cobley of Goldsboro, N.C., Gladys (Curtis) Bynum of Goldsboro, N.C., Alvin (Pamela) Ford of Stafford, Va., Calvin (Tashsa) Ford of Rocky Mount, N.C., Wallace (Sharon) Ford Jr. of Goldsboro, N.C., and Michael (Valerie) Ford of Dudley, N.C.; 28 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild
Visitation Friday from 2 to 8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m., at Haskins Funeral Home. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
