Deacon Napoleon Bell, 72, 416 Hare Rod, Goldsboro, passed from labor to reward Wednesday at his residence.

He was born May 16, 1943, to the late Raymond and Kathell Artis Bell.

His life and service to God and mankind will remembered Saturday at noon at Best Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe A. Jackson officiating. His mortal frame will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories a devoted, loving wife of 50 years, E. Grace Farmer Bell of the home; a daughter, Greta B. James (Ponce) of Stratford, Conn.; his siblings, Helen B. Battle, Dorothy B. Buckrham, Lynell M. King, Bonita B. White, Chester Bell, Jimmie B. Bell and Reginald Bell of Goldsboro, Dorothy M. Smith of Dunn, N.C., Patricia M. Hamilton of Huber Heights, Ohio, Christine B. Black of Florence, S.C., and Evan B. Sellars of Fayetteville, Ga.; and a host of other dear relatives and friends.

Deacon Bell will lie in state Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., with the family present to receive friends during an inspirational wake from 7 to 8 p.m., at the church. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
