LEONA "LIZZIE" DAVIS LANGSTON

Leona "Lizzie" Davis Langston peacefully passed from this life, and joined her Lord and savior Sunday, Aug. 23, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by family.
She was born Dec. 28, 1914, and was blessed with 100 years on this earth.
Leona was a devoted and loving mother to 13 children, 30 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was the matriarch of five generations.
She is survived by her daughters, Rannette, Bobbie, Wynona Ann, Nancy and Brenda; her sons, Milton "Tig," Dann and Gary; and siblings, Geraldine, Linda, Durant, Jimmy and Jonathan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton "Cat" Langston; her sons, Gregory, Darrel, Raymond "Tex;" and her daughters, Shelby and Joey Lee.
Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
A visitation will take place Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home.
A celebration of life graveside service will be held Thursday, Aug. 27, at 1 p.m. at Langston Cemetery on Mills Road in Grantham.
The family will receive friends after the service at Leona's home at 439 Big Daddy's Road in Pikeville, where she lived with Brenda and Lynwood.
