LEON SUTTON

Leon Sutton, 85, longtime resident of Faison, N.C., died Tuesday, July 21, at Genesis Nursing Home in Mount Olive.
He was a veteran of the Korean War and a longtime employee of Cates Pickle Co. in Faison from which he had been retired for more than 20 years.
He enjoyed many years of gardening and deer hunting during his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of the home; son, David, of Faison; and son, Mark, of Sampson County.
He is also survived by a brother, Lloyd Sutton, and his wife, Casey; a sister, Lorraine Britt and her husband, Harold; sister-in-law, Dorothy Sutton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonidas and Dossie Sutton; sisters, Myrtle, Mabel and Cleo; and brother, Floyd.
Leon will be cremated, and a private family service will be held at a later date.
The family requests no flowers or donations be made.
