Bertha Catherine Barnes Dawes Harrell, 65, Kenly, died Sunday at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro.
Graveside service will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Memorial Church Cemetery.
She was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Montie D. Barnes, and wife of the late Benny E. Dawes and William E. Harrell Sr.
She is survived by a son and a daughter.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends other times at the home of her brother, Larry and Joann Barnes, 1066 N.C. 222 East.
