ROBERT PITTMAN JORDAN

Robert Pittman Jordan, 71, Long Island, Va., passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015, in Lynchburg, Va.
He retired from OTR as a truck driver with more than 30 years of service, and also was a welder, mechanic and warehouse manager.
Mr. Jordan is survived by three sons, Robert Pittman Jordan II and wife, Jackie, of Leland, N.C., Paul Christopher Jordan of Wilmington, N.C., and Lee Daniel Jordan and wife, Hyun, of Hurt, Va.; five grandchildren, Robert Pittman Jordan III, Chloe Jordan and Christopher Jordan of Wilmington, N.C., and Jacob Jordan and Ava Jordan of Hurt, Va.; two sisters, Dolores Jordan Smith and Barbara Jordan of Goldsboro, N.C.; two brothers, L. Ray Jordan of Albemarle, N.C., and Ben L. Jordan of Grifton, N.C.; 15 nephews; and 10 nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Ray and Nettie Pittman Jordan, and five sisters, Ollie Jordan Kornegay, Catherine Jordan Newman, Erlene Jordan Evans, Shirley Jordan Cousins and Carol Jordan Mitchell.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 12, 2015, at 2 p.m.at White Oak Presbyterian Church, Polly Watson Crossroads in Fremont, N.C., with burial to follow.
