GLORIA DAVIS ROBERTS

Gloria Davis Roberts, 88, Locust Dale, Madison County, Va., went to be with the Lord May 29, 2015.
She was born May 8, 1927, in Goldsboro, N.C., and was the daughter of the late Charles Brantley Davis and Helen Jenks Davis.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband, Thomas Roberts of Locust Dale; son, Marquis John Ryan and wife, Hilda, of Wingate, N.C.; sister, Paula Nuckles of Greensboro, N.C.; brother, Charles Davis of Greensboro, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Jonathan Ryan of Greenwich, Conn., David Ryan of Nashville, Tenn., and Benjamin Ryan of the United States Air Force.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 1, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Preddy Funeral chapel in Madison, conducted by the Rev. Adam Meisberger.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the funeral home.
The interment will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Pine Forest Cemetery, 867 N.C. 581 South, Goldsboro, N.C., 27530.
