Carolyn Marie Core, 67, 110 Sumpter Drive, Goldsboro, peacefully passed from this mortal stay Sunday in Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was born Feb. 23, 1948, to Albert Lee Jones Sr. and Marie Mitchell Jones in Wayne County.
Eulogistic services will be held Sunday, May 17, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Goldsboro Raleigh Disciples Institute. Her mortal frame will be laid to rest in Wayne Memorial Park North.
She leaves to mourn her husband, Thomas "T.C." Core of the home; her children, Kimberly Carol Core, Ricky A. Core, Thomas Core III of Goldsboro, minister Rodney E. Core of Pikeville and Timothy Earl Core of Raleigh; six siblings; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
Visitation Saturday from 2 to 7 p.m., with the family present to receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., at Haskins Funeral Home. At other times, the family will receive friends at the residence, where it will assemble in preparation for the funeral procession.
A ministry of comfort is being provided by Haskins Funeral Home.
