NELL TYSON DAVIS

Nell Tyson Davis, 55, Pine Knoll Shores, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015, at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City.
Nell was born in Moore County Feb. 24, 1960, to the late Rev. Aaron and Lucille Edwards Tyson.
After completing her degree in education, Nell became a beloved teacher at School Street School and Tommy's Road School in Goldsboro, where she devoted her life to children for 30 years.
Nell was the rock of her family; her husband and children knew that she loved them with all her heart and truly was a blessing to them.
A service celebrating Nell's life will be held by the graveside Thursday, April 23, 2015, at 3 p.m. in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Adam Seate and the Rev. Dollie Davis Bryant officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.
Nell is survived by her husband of 37 years, Glen Davis; sons, Justin Glen Davis and Grandison Taylor Davis; and her mother-in-law, Dollie Davis Bryant and husband, Marvin.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be given to your neighborhood soup kitchen in her memory.
