CLARA HALL OWEN

Clara Hall Owen, 76, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Born in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late John Allen and Lula Ellis Hall.
She was a dedicated member of Love Memorial Baptist Church, where she had served as a children's Sunday school teacher for more than 15 years, and was a member of the Faith Sunday school class.
A service to celebrate Clara's life will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Toler officiating.
Family members will greet friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.
A committal service will follow the visitation in the chapel of Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jasper "Jack" Owen; her daughter, Jeanell Owen Page of Angier and her husband, David Alan Page; a granddaughter, Leah Grace Page of Angier; a sister, Bennie Rose Best of Faison; an aunt, Margaret E. Ellis Turlington of Clinton; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
