THURSTON CORBETT

Thurston Corbett, 85, went to be with his Lord and savior Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 17, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Princeton.
Mr. Corbett was born in Lenoir County June 2, 1929, to the late Roby and Louise Hines Corbett.
He was a member of Goldsboro Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as past deacon.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ila Corbett; a son, Thurston Wayne Corbett of Goldsboro; two daughters, Anita Corbett Mitchell and husband, Wayne, of Princeton and Tammie Corbett of Goldsboro; three sisters, Lolas Blizzard and husband, J.B., of Deep Run, Jean Long of Goldsboro and Bundy Pyatt and husband, Bob, of Goldsboro; two grandchildren, Stephen Wayne Mitchell and Danielle Nicole Mitchell; and a great-grandchild, Sophia Mitchell.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, April 16, 2015, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
