REV. WALTER G. TATE
PINK HILL -- The Rev. Walter George Tate, 70, of Maxwell Mill Road, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Vidant Duplin in Kenansville. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 379 and Disabled American Veterans; a member of Neuse Baptist Association and Trinity Missionary Baptist Church; and owner of Tate's Electrical Service.
He is survived by his wife, Genette Harrell Kornegay Tate of the home; daughters, Kathy Paradies of Illinois, Denise Poole and husband, David of Wendell; Donna Stilley of Mount Olive and Dianne Wiley and husband, Doug of Kinston; grandchildren, K.J., Thomas, Katie, Kristina and Allison; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at Pink Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Jon Hoey presiding.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ALS Association or to Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.
