MARIE BROOKS CARR

Marie Brooks Carr, 85, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. She was born in Claiborne County, Tenn. on Nov. 28, 1929 to the late Voister and Daisy Caylor Brooks. Marie was the rock of her family. Her husband, children and grandchildren knew that she loved them with all her heart and truly was a blessing to them.
A service celebrating Marie's life will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Marie is survived by her husband of 56 years, Lewis Carr; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda C. and Frank Abraham, and Linda C. and Jerry Mueller; sister, Phyllis Brooks; brothers, Ray Brooks, Donald Brooks and Kenneth Brooks; her grandchildren, Shannon J. Jordan and husband, Lucas, and Jason Jensen, and another son-in-law, Rene J. Jensen. She is also survived by her sister-in -law, Ann Zimmerman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Tipton; and brothers, Ronald Brooks and Keith Brooks.
The family will receive friends today from 4-6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
