Edward Luther "Eddie" Underwood, 66, Goldsboro, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 22, 2015, at his home.
Eddie was born in Wayne County on June 5, 1948, to the late Luther Rodney and Gouldia Summerlin Underwood.
He was a partner with Goldsboro Starter in Goldsboro where he worked as an auto electrician.
Eddie was a member of the Goldsboro Elks Lodge B.P.O.E. #139.
A service celebrating Eddie's life will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the Oak Forest Church of Christ with Lenny Reagan and Robert Goff officiating.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2015, in Willow Dale Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday following the service at Oak Forest Church of Christ.
Eddie is survived by his wife of 47 years, Dianne Wilkins Underwood; son, Paul Edward Underwood and wife, Stacie Marie, of Sherrills Ford; grandson, William Paul Underwood; and sisters, Lois Underwood Capps of Goldsboro and Connie Underwood Huebschmann of Nashville, Tenn.
