Martha Keenan Lawhorne, 73, Goldsboro, passed away, Jan. 16, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family.
Martha was born in Stafford, Conn., Feb. 9, 1941, to the late Edward and Martha Keenan.
She proudly served her country in the United States Marine Corps.
Martha was a beautiful person whose loving spirit and ever present smile radiated the joy she experienced in living every day of her life.
The family will receive friends Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, starting at 10 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service celebrating Martha's life at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Seymour Funeral Home, with the Rev. Andy Stovall officiating. Interment will follow in Princeton Cemetery.
Martha is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Billy Benjamin Jr. Lawhorne; daughters, Shirley Bowman of Roanoke Texas and Elizabeth Franks and husband, Curtis, of Goldsboro; sons, Johnny Lawhorne and wife, Donna, of Goldsboro and Michael Lawhorne and wife, Miyoung, of Goldsboro; brother, Donald White of Hubbardszille, N.Y.; sister, Alice Diamond of Oakland, Calif.; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
