KENNETH A. PLUMMER

Kenneth Allen Plummer, 74, died Tuesday morning at Genesis Healthcare in Mount Olive.
Born in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Dr. Kenneth M. Plummer and Mrs. Ann H. Plummer, and grew up in Chicago, Ill.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Ken was a longtime member of American Legion Post 11.
He was formerly employed with the Goldsboro News-Argus, WFMC, WGBR and WEQR.
He was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church of Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with burial to follow Wayne Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the funeral service.
Survivors include three sons, David Allen Plummer of Hollywood, Calif., Kenneth Robert Plummer of Goldsboro, N.C., and retired United States Army Lieutenant Col. Christopher Plummer and his wife, Lorianne, of Rochester Hills, Mich.; four grandchildren, Leah, Nathan and Kasson Christopher Plummer of Weston, Mo., and United States Army Sergeant Kenneth Douglas Plummer and his wife, Jessica, of Goldsboro, N.C.; and a brother, David Jerome Plummer and wife Penny, of Wytheville, Va.
