JANIE REEVES MAGGARD

Janie Reeves Maggard, 57, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family.
Janie was born in Forsyth County, N.C., to Helen Owens Reeves and the late Richard Herman Reeves July 15, 1956.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Harold C. Maggard; a daughter, Dixie Gurley and husband, Richard, of Mount Olive; three grandchildren, Alex, Brenda and Avery; a stepgrandchild, Tabitha; a sister, Debbie Nichols and husband, Allen, of LaGrange; and four brothers, Danny Reeves and wife, Dottie, of Lexington, N.C., Billy Reeves of Goldsboro, Bobby Reeves and wife, Marie, of Goldsboro and Timmy Reeves and wife, Alicia, of Goldsboro.
Janie was preceded in death by her son, Harold Clayton Maggard Jr.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, June 18, 2014, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, June 19, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park.
Janie requested in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to SMOC or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
The family is in the care of Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro.
