DARIUS HOLLAND

Lewis Darius Holland, 89, Fremont, passed away Thursday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Darius was born in Wayne County, N.C., Oct. 4, 1924, to the late Gurney Holland and Ellen Sasser Holland. He was married to the late Hazel Overman Holland.
Darius was an insurance agent for many years.
He was a member of Nahunta Friends Meeting, and was an honorary member of Nahunta Fire Department.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Nahunta Friends Meeting, with the Rev. Ken Spivey and the Rev. Eric Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Nahunta Cemetery.
Darius is survived by his daughter, Kim Greer and husband, David, of Goldsboro, and his sons, Tony Holland and wife, Sheryl, of Wilmington and Bill Holland and wife, Norma, of Sumter, S.C.
He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jenny Dreyer and husband, Julian, of Asheville, Tonya Jose and husband, Mike, of Concord, Brittany Macaskill and husband, Joshua, of Concord and A.J. Greer of Goldsboro, and his great-grandchildren, Luca Dreyer and Jaxon Jose.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests that memorials be sent to Nahunta Fire Department, P.O. Box 5, Pikeville, N.C., 27863.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
