CHARLES "BRO" HODGES
WARSAW -- Charles Maten "Bro" Hodges, son of the late Charles Jr. Hodges and Katie Miller Hodges, departed this life on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at the Carolina East Hospice Center in Kenansville.
Funeral service will be held Friday at First Missionary Baptist Church, Highway 24 Turkey Highway, Turkey, N.C. at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Rogers, officiating.
Visitation will be held Thursday at Garris Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Olive from 4-7 p.m. The family will be present from 6-7 p.m. Interment will be in the Sam Miller Cemetery of Warsaw.
"Bro" leaves two children to cherish his memories, Chinelle Hodges of Charlotte, and Chamika Hodges-Jackson (Gerard) of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Cameron and Bryson. He also leaves one sister, Linda Hodges of Hampton, Va.; a brother-in-law, Ronnie Bell; four aunts, Addie H. Price, his surrogate mom of Warsaw, his maternal aunts who loved him dearly, Evelyn Snider (LK), Ruth Keith, and Thelma Rhodes; two aunts-in-law, Minister Elma Hodges and Mary Miller; three godchildren, Jonathan Scantlebury, Nicole and Devon Hodges and a great aunt, Odell Hodges of Turkey, N.C.; one niece and three nephews.
