Larry Joe Whitley, 67, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at his home.
Larry was born in Wayne County May 21, 1946, to the late Herman and Helen Sugg Whitley.
Larry proudly served his country in the Vietnam War with the United States Army.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, with the Rev. Charles Sugg, the Rev. Tim Sharp and the Rev. Pete Norris officiating.
Larry is survived by his son, Kevin Whitley and wife, Cindy, of Goldsboro; uncle, Charles Sugg Sr. and wife, Brenda, of Goldsboro; sister, Carolyn McLamb of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Holden and Noah Whitley; and nephews, Curtis Whitley, Anthony Whitley, Chris Whitley and Terry McLamb.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Garry Whitley.
The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service Saturday at The First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
