Jimmie Charles Cassady, 53, died Thursday, Jan. 30, at his home in Pikeville.
Born in Goldsboro, he was the son of the late Sammy Charles Cassady and Edna Cassady Howell, and was the husband of Jennifer Lynn Cassady of Fremont.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday at 6 p.m. at Faro Chapel Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, with Dr. Don Sauls officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
In addition to his wife, Jimmie is survived by his stepfather, Kenneth Howell of Pikeville;two sons, Jamie Clark Cassady of Pikeville and Scott Pearson of Saulston; four daughters, Dawn Bass of Saulston, Wendi Cassady, Brandie Cassady and Jenny Cassady of Fremont; two brothers, William Cassady of Goldsboro and Jerry Howell of Pikeville; a stepsister, Susie Aderholt of Arlington, Texas; and four grandchildren.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in care of the Jimmie Charles Cassady Memorial Fund.
