LLOYD E. PEARCE

PORT ORANGE, Fla. -- Lloyd E. Pearce, 86, Port Orange, Fla., passed away Jan. 16, 2014.
He was born to the late Ezra and Ada Pearce of Goldsboro, N.C., in 1927.
Lloyd was a retired chief master sergeant of the United States Air Force. During his service, he received numerous honorable awards. His duty assignments made him a world traveler.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing golf and listening to bluegrass music. However, his greatest love of all was his cherished family and his faith.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Annette Pearce.
He is survived by four children, Thomas Pearce of Colorado Springs, Colo., Bruce Pearce (Gail) of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Linda Mead (Ron) of Boynton Beach, Fla., and Douglas Pearce (Lynne) of Great Falls, Mont.
He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren, as well as five sisters, Lois "Sis" Robbins, Gladys Bartlett, Dixie Toler and Frances Hood all of Goldsboro, N.C., and LorraineSullivan of Chattanooga, Tenn.
He will also be missed by his dear friend,Margaret Clark of Port Orange, as well as his loving church family at Crosswalk Church.
Interment will take place at Hampton National Cemetery in Hampton, Va., and a memorial service will be held at Crosswalk Church in Daytona Beach at a date yet to be determined.
