FOUR OAKS -- Shirley Fay Coates, 77, formerly of Four Oaks, passed away at the Cornerstone Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Dunn on Friday afternoon. Born in Hastings, Fla., she was the daughter of the late Harvey Lee Hyman and the late Mary Ardell Stanley.
Mrs. Coates is survived by her husband, Lester D. Coates Jr. of Spring Hope, and four children.
There are no immediate plans for a memorial service at this time.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Minshew-Coley Funeral Home, Kenly.
