MYRTLE PROCTOR IVEY

FREMONT -- Myrtle Proctor Ivey, 92, passed away July 27, 2013, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Funeral services will be held Monday evening, July 29, 2013, at 7 p.m. from the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. Graveside services will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
The family will receive friends afterwards, and other times, at the home of Thomas Proctor.
Mrs. Ivey was born in Wilson County on May 18, 1921, to the late Luther Preston and Clyde Varnell Proctor.
She was a member of Fremont Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, James E. (Jim) Ivey Jr. of Pikeville and friend, Ty Richardson, and Thomas Proctor (Linda) of Fremont; two granddaughters, Shirley Proctor (Bobby Gooding Jr.) and Debra Proctor, Ph.D.; and one sister, Peggy Rodgers.
Mrs. Ivey was preceded in death by her husband, James Egbert Ivey Sr.; and daughter-in-law, Vickie T. Ivey.
