EUREKA -- Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at the University of North Carolina Hospital in Chapel Hill, Elsie Marie Price of West Main Street in Eureka went to be with her heavenly father with her family by her side.
Homegoing services will be held Friday, May 17, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Ray of Hope Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church in Goldsboro. The Rev. Dennis Pollock and the Rev. Tony Kopanski will officiate. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.
Elsie was born in Nashville, Tenn., to the late Walter and Mary Frances Paradise Moss.
She was a member of Ray of Hope Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, and throughout her Christian life, was a previous member of Riverside Free Will Baptist Church in Princeton, Patetown Church of God and charter member of United in Christ Church.
She served as a Bible teacher at Woodard's Retirement Home, and also served in the nursing home ministry. Her love for God was always shown by her smile, laughter and prayers to so many people.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, celebrating 35 years today, Vernon Price; five sons, Thomas Glenn Price of Sleepy Creek, Vernon Paul Price of Patetown, Larry Dexter Price of Patetown, Steve Price of Princeton and Cleve Price of Mar Mac; a daughter, Joy Diane Price Dixon and husband, Billy, of LaGrange; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her uncle, Harold Paradise of Nashville, Tenn.; special aunt, Dixie Rochelle of Hendersonville, Tenn.; special cousin, Carolyn Sanders of Nashville, Tenn.; many special friends including, Laverne McCall, Theresa George, Rachel Poole and Teresa Hill; and all her Christian family and friends.
The family will receive friends this evening, May 16, 2013, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home and Crematory in Goldsboro and other times at the residence.
