Doris Emogene Stevens Rogers, 80, passed away Saturday, April 27, 2013, at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Carol Pierson officiating.
The family will greet friends following the service at the church.
Doris is survived by her husband of 66 years, retired Col. Ray J. Rogers, and her sons, Michael Rogers and Steven Rogers.
She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her son, Terry Lee Rogers.
The family would like to express its appreciation for the compassionate care provided by her primary caregivers, Anne Best, Mabel Graham, Ella Wynn and Sylvia Britt.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, N.C., 27534.
