THOMAS R. KEMP

Thomas Ray Kemp, 66, Goldsboro, returned to Jesus Monday morning at his residence.
Born in Fulton, N.Y., he was the son of the late LeRoy Bradford and Ellen Elizabeth Hughes Kemp, and was the husband of Suzanne "Sue" Kemp.
Having retired from the North Carolina Department of Correction as a nurse, he had also served his country in the United States Marine Corps, and had worked 18 years as a counselor with "The ARC" of New York.
Special to Thomas was having served with the Boy Scouts of America as an adult leader and counselor for more than 50 years.
Thomas also served as a deacon at Faith Alliance Church.
A memorial service to honor Thomas' life will be held Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Faith Alliance Church at 11 a.m., with pastor Ed Shuck and pastor Tim Leever officiating.
The family will visit with friends one hour before and after the service at the church.

In addition to his wife, Thomas is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gerry and Natalie Kemp of Goldsboro; daughter, Tina Kemp and Michelle Bussell of Charlotte; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Tony Mastrolonardo of Goldsboro; two brothers, Roy Lewis Kemp of Oswego, N.Y., and William Michael Kemp of Fulton, N.Y.; and six grandchildren.
