FAISON -- Andrew Louis Darden, 73, died Sunday, Jan. 6, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Mickey Whitfield, and followed by visitation. Burial will be Wednesday, Jan. 9, at 11 a. at Faison Cemetery.
Family and friends are also being received at the home of Edna and Chester King, 172 N.C. 403 East, Mount Olive.
Mr. Darden, son of the late McEnnis and Myrtie Brock Darden and husband of the late Faye Hobbs Darden, is survived by a son, Louis Darden and wife, Janice, of Faison; two daughters, Edna King and husband, Chester, of Mount Olive and Sonya Lane and husband, Richard, of Mount Olive; five grandchildren, Daniel L. Whitfield, Wesley Lane, Blake Darden, Joshua Lane and Joseph King; a great-grandchild, Madison Whitfield; two brothers, Danny Darden and wife, Rose, of Mount Olive and Phil Darden of Washington; three sisters, Jessie Peaden and husband, Willie, of Elm City, Maybelle Ezzell and husband, Dennis, of Warsaw and Susan Potter and husband, John, of Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also the brother of the late Frank Darden.
