PIKEVILLE -- Marion Brackett Martin died Tuesday.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m at Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 1100 Pikeville-Princeton Road. Committal will follow in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Highway 70 West of Goldsboro.
There will be a time of visiting and sharing with the family following the funeral.
Surviving are two daughters, Mary Estelle Radford of Rosewood and Betty Jean Martin Knight (Larry) of Fayetteville, grandchildren James L. Knight Jr. and Tracy Lynn Carroll, stepgrandchildren Kathy Stanley and Wada Bryant and great-grandchildren Patrice Michelle Johnson and Kayla Knight, step-grandchildren Erica Stanley and Sabrine Johnson and stepgreat-great-grandchildren Karson Bradshaw and Payton Johnson.
Mrs. Martin, a native of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, was preceded in death by her parents, Mary O'Halloran Brackett and Leroy Russell Brackett.
She moved to Goldsboro in 1945 and retired from Cherry Hospital as a registered nurse in 1988. Mrs. Martin was a member of Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church, 1100 Pikeville-Princeton Road., Pikeville, NC 27569 or to the Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Circle, Goldsboro, NC 27534
