MAXINE M. TAYLOR

Maxine McBride Taylor, 100, passed away on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center surrounded by her family.
A service remembering the life of Maxine will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. David Jenkins, the Rev. Drew Clark and the Rev. Carol Pierson officiating. A private interment will precede this service at Willow Dale Cemetery.
Maxine was born in Marissa, Ill., on June 3, 1912, to the late Ora and Lela Adams McBride. She was married for 51 years to the late Daniel B. Taylor and was predeceased by her siblings, Carl E. McBride and Melba McBride Herring. Maxine was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church and was the oldest living member at the time of her death.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Dana Taylor Newman and husband, Steve, of Goldsboro; three sons, Daniel McBride Taylor and wife, Barbara, of Ocean Springs, Miss., Kenneth R. Taylor and wife, Judy, of Goldsboro, and Harry A. Taylor and wife, Carolyn, of Wilmington; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her memory to First Presbyterian Church, 1101 E. Ash St., Goldsboro, NC 27534 or to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 107 Handley Park Court, Goldsboro, NC 27534.
The family will receive friends today, Sept. 23, 2012, from 3 until 4 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
