Elouise Best Hart, 89, passed away Thursday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.

Born in Sampson County, she was the daughter of the late Reddic James and Maggie Sutton Best, and the wife of the late Bertram Jackson Hart.

She was a member of Love Memorial Baptist Church, and a part of the "Breakfast Crew" at Bojangles.

She had retired from Civil Service in accounting.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Toler officiating. Burial will follow at Wayne Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by two sons, Gary Frederick Zaccagnini of Murrells Inlet, S.C., and James Craig Zaccagnini of Summerville, S.C.; a stepson, James Allan Hart of St. Mary's City, Md.; a brother, Anthony F. "Tony" Best of Goldsboro; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
