MORRIS WIGGINS

MOUNT OLIVE -- Morris Wiggins, 80, Pineland Avenue, passed away Monday evening, July 23, 2012.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 25, at 7 p.m. at Tyndall Funeral Home, to be officiated by Dr. Greg Day, and followed by visitation. The interment service will be Thursday, July 26, at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park to include Masonic rites.
Mr. Wiggins, son of the late Lawton W. and Floye Ezzell Wiggins, was retired from the United States Air Force in which he was a food service administrator.
He was a member of Calypso Baptist Church and Mount Olive Masonic Lodge 208 A.F. and A.M., and was the Wayne County fire commissioner for Mount Olive Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of more than 56 years, Elsie Long Wiggins of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Rhonda Flowers Wiggins and Wayne and Marie Anderson Wiggins all of Mount Olive; a daughter and son-in-law, Sherrie W. and Steven Whitman of Mount Olive; grandchildren, Ashley and Danny Brock, Matthew and Sarah Wiggins, Olivia Whitman, Savannah Wiggins and Joshua Wiggins; stepgrandchildren, Lisa and David Lentz and Mel and Kim Anderson; great-grandson, Ethan Brock; stepgreat-grandchildren, Dawn Anderson and Baily Lentz; sisters-in-law, Helen Wiggins of Mount Olive, Mary Jo Wiggins of Grantham, Elaine Long of Girard, Ga., and Virginia Carr and husband, Harry, of Beaufort, S.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, Mr. Wiggins was preceded in death by a sister, Christine Wiggins, and brothers, L.W. Wiggins Jr., J. Stephen Wiggins and Ralph Wiggins.
