CECIL GLENN LUPTON

Retired Goldsboro Police Department Cpl. Cecil Glenn Lupton passed away suddenly Thursday, June 14, 2012, at his home.
Cecil was born in Wayne County June 13, 1942, to the late Elsmer Vernon Lupton and Evelyn Isabelle VanHoy Lupton.
He proudly served the city of Goldsboro as an officer for the Goldsboro Police Department with more than 25 years of service.
Graveside services with police honors will be held Saturday, June 16, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park, with the Rev. Jackie Hill officiating.
Cecil is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sue Parrish Lupton; his son, Kenneth Lupton and wife, Mardi, of Goldsboro; his daughter, Sonya Jennette and husband, Billy, of Kenly; and his grandchildren, Connor Lupton, MacKenzie Lupton, Jayson Jennette and Joshua Jennette.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Paul Lupton.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 15, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, and other times at his home.
