Barbara Faye Wilkerson Brown, 77, passed away Monday, April 23, 2012, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Barbara was born in Robeson County Feb. 9, 1935, to the late Bud Wilkerson and Ophelia Bass Wilkerson.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 25, 2012, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service at 3 p.m. in the chapel, with Dr. Glenn Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Roswell Cone Brown; her sons, Dennis Brown and wife, Amy, of Newland and Troy Brown of Pikeville; her grandchildren, Kordero Holland, Stephen Holland, Kasey Brown, Tanner Brown and Max Brown; and her great-grandchildren, Taylor Holland and Scott Holland.
She is also survived by her sister, Keith W. Carter of Fayetteville, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sudie Gray Wilkerson, and her brothers, Charles Wilkerson, Grady Wilkerson and Billy Ray Wilkerson.
