John Bordeleau Jr., 86, passed away Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
John was born in Newark, N.J., Jan. 10, 1925, to the late John Bordeleau Sr. and Annie Gildhouser Bordeleau.
He served his country in the United States Marines Corps for 24 years.
Following his military career, John worked as a meteorologist with Western Airlines, and retired from Delta Airlines.
The family will receive friends Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Harry officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.
John is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Garrett Bordeleau; his son, Ronald D. Bell and wife, Barbara, of Huntington Beach, Calif.; his daughter, Patricia Lawrence and husband, Joe, of Goldsboro; his sister, Helen Mandel and husband, Eddie, of South Amboy, N.J.; his grandchildren, Emily Bell of Huntington Beach, Calif., Pam Stokes of Goldsboro, Debora Bartolomei of Alpharetta, Ga., and Jimmy Forsythe of Acworth, Ga.; and his great-grandchildren, Andrew Bartolomei, Christopher Bartolomei, Regan, Madison and Harrison Garrett Forsythe.
